The Rocketry Association is dedicated to developing the next generation of rocket scientists through technical training and K-12 STEM outreach. As the largest aerospace engineering organization at Auburn, we support nearly 60 Auburn students in their goals to reach new heights through rocketry.
However, rocketry can be dangerous work. Whether we are working with power tools, solid rocket motors, or leading elementary students in educational events, we hold safety paramount at all times. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this became more important than ever.
As our organization continues to grow, sharing personal protective equipment is unfeasible. To ensure that students are safe from lab dangers and from the risk of illness, it is important that every student be outfitted with the equipment that they need.
This Tiger Giving Day, our goal is to provide students with the proper safety equipment to both work in the lab provide outreach programs.
A donation of just $20 will provide four students with their own safety goggles, preventing the need to share materials during the current pandemic.
Additionally, your donation will help fund safety equipment that is shared by our lab, including a UV disinfecting cabinet, cut-proof and burn-proof gloves, and respirators. With this equipment, we will be able to properly sanitize high-use lab tools and equipment while providing safety gear for all students. Your donation will help the Rocketry Association shoot for the stars – safely!
Help boost a student with protection. A donation of $5 will supply one set of safety goggles.
3...2...1...liftoff! A donation of $50 will provide the team with two respirators.
One giant leap for the Rocketry Association! A $100 donation will help us purchase a UV disinfecting case to ensure that all of our equipment is kept clean and ready for use.
