The Gene Machine travels all over Alabama, often to areas that are medically underserved, reaching out to individuals and family members whose loved ones have been affected by breast cancer.
We provide BRCA1 and 2 gene screening and educate communities about cancer risk factors. We’ve met thousands of people at community events, cancer walks, health fairs, cancer luncheons and even parades.
We're searching for more knowledge and a better understanding of what puts people at risk.
Giving to our project today is a step in the fight to help sisters, daughters, wives, moms and friends from falling victim to breast cancer. You might even save a life.
The pandemic kept us off the road for a bit. We used that time to enroll study participants by mail and provide cancer education online.
We’re continuing those efforts, but we’re also getting back on the road – and that’s where we need your help.
Breast cancer screening, genetic counseling, and of course travel, are expensive. Please help us meet our Tiger Giving Day goal and keep this valuable program on the road.
The concept behind the Gene Machine is simple — when it comes to breast cancer, genetic testing saves lives. This Tiger Giving Day you can help us continue that mission.
