Tiger Giving Day is over, but you can still give to the Harrison College of Pharmacy here.
Committed to Auburn University’s land-grant mission, the Harrison College of Pharmacy plans to develop an outreach initiative to reach middle- and junior-high school students to introduce the profession of pharmacy, and educate students on the harms of illicit drug use.
Partnering with the Center for Opioid Research, Education and Outreach, or COACH, the college is seeking $15,000 to host workshops in four areas of the state: Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile and Montgomery.
Reaching a variety of schools and more than 200 students, HCOP faculty and students will have career conversations with students and integrate drug-free education into workshops, highlighting the ways a local pharmacist can be an influencer in their communities.
As our nation is experiencing an ongoing opioid crisis, the earlier we can educate students, the more improved the outcomes.
Your support will allow the college of pharmacy to have constructive and meaningful conversations with the next generation and reach them at this crucial time.
Thank you and War Eagle!
