Auburn is known for many of its health science programs, including nursing, pharmacy, pre-medicine and even veterinary medicine. In 2025, the Loveliest Village on the Plains will welcome students to its newest health science program — a Doctor of Physical Therapy program housed in the School of Kinesiology.
This Tiger Giving Day, we need your help ensuring students have the resources necessary to succeed in this critical profession by giving to our digital anatomy tables project.
Our students will participate in hands-on learning at rural healthcare clinics, an on-campus clinic, and clinical sites in Alabama and across the country. In the classroom, we want to give them access to cutting-edge technology using Anatomage tables, the first-ever virtual dissection table.
The Anatomage Table is the most technologically advanced 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool for anatomy and physiology education. We need four digital anatomy tables, so any amount we receive in excess of our goal will go toward purchasing additional tables.
The state of Alabama only has approximately 30 licensed, practicing physical therapists per 100,000 residents, but Auburn’s program will change that. The Doctor of Physical Therapy program will educate future physical therapists who are passionate about helping people live longer, healthier lives.
You can be a part of history by helping Auburn build its first physical therapy program!
