The Kreher Preserve & Nature Center needs your support to rebuild and expand our collection of environmental education tools!
The KPNC has become the most important and significant environmental education resource in our region. More than 10,000 students of all ages come here each year for nature-based classes and workshops.
To make that happen, we have an all-star team of educators that do incredible work to connect and engage community members with the natural world.
This amazing effort is only possible with a broad and diverse collection of environmental education tools. A good toolkit is essential to keeping the attention of students. With the right tools, we can inspire — and create — that sense of passion toward nature.
In order to build a high-quality toolkit, we will need tools like animal skeletons, eggs, hides, and castings of prints; plant presses, seeds, and leaf rubbings; nature journals, trail cams, testing kits, nets, models, mineral collections, field guides and more.
We have secured sources for all the materials we need and are ready to start building — we just need your support to make this a reality. If we surpass our goal, we will be able to expand our toolkit even further, enhancing our environmental education lessons that much more!
Whether big or small, your donation will make a difference! Together let’s build a world where every child knows the thrill of a bug hunt, and where every adult finds solace under a canopy of leaves.
