Recruiting students to healthcare professions now requires unique and innovative approaches. Demonstrating to potential students the real-world and hands-on impact of the profession can make a profound impact and influence their decision to potentially pursue a career in pharmacy.
With your support, the Harrison College of Pharmacy can purchase and distribute simulation mannequins and activity kits to its various clinical sites around the state and region. These mannequins will help simulate the role of a patient in a clinical setting while also increase the college’s visibility and ability to recruit students into the pharmacy profession.
With multiple simulation mannequins around the HCOP footprint, faculty, staff, and students will be able to provide a hands-on experience for students at high schools and undergraduate programs, demonstrating how a pharmacist helps patients with medication adherence, dosage, drug administration, and treatments and therapies for a variety of diseases.
Support from Tiger Giving Day will go toward the purchase of mannequins, as well as simulation devices for an accompanying activity kit. Any funds raised beyond the goal will go toward additional mannequins.
Thank you!
