The Auburn Robotics Club is looking to expand the capabilities of its VexU and Combat Robotics teams and allow engineering students to test the skills and training they learned in the classroom.
Auburn Robotics’ VexU team has existed since 2019 and grown each year due to its high placing in the world rankings—including finishing #2 in the world in 2020 and 2023.
This team has competed at a high level on the global stage for many years, and funds from Tiger Giving Day will hopefully push them to the very top.
Added in 2023, the Combat Robotics team designs, fabricates and fights robots in a regulated weight class against an open field of competition, including some professional engineers and other universities.
To achieve the team’s long-term goal of appearing on the TV show “Battlebots,” they need additional funding to create a 30-lb. proof of concept to apply to the show, which will bring more publicity and excitement to engineering at Auburn.
All funds contributed will help the Auburn Robotics Club continue to grow, and set itself up for greater success in the future.
